The film starring Antonio Pagudo and Luna Fulgencio – which has the Green Seal of the Film Academy – shares with the green-and-white club its commitment to the environment.
Cinema and football have come together to show their commitment to the environment.
The film Héroes de Barrio that will be previewed this Tuesday in Seville has joined Forever Green, Real Betis Balompié’s environmental sustainability platform.
The film, directed by Ángeles Reiné, is about a girl who plays in a women’s children’s football team and asks her father to bring her Betis player Joaquín at the end of the season, with whom he pretends to be a good friend.
In the film, the green-and-white team has a great role.
This union with Real Betis has wanted to go further, adding Héroes de Barrio to Forever Green.
The film, which will be released on July 29, shares with the Green and White Club its commitment to the environment as it complies with the Good Practices Guide of the Green Seal of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, being the first Spanish film to obtain this Seal from the Academy.
“Betis has been present in our film and it has also been Joaquín Sánchez’s debut on the big screen. We feel very identified with the values of Forever Green as we share the commitment to the environment. Héroes de Barrio has been produced under the premises of the Academy’s Green Seal and we have managed to be the first film to obtain this certification with measures such as the use of catering with local and seasonal products, distribution of water through dispensers and provision of reusable bottles to refill to the team; are we committed to the rental and reuse of costumes?” said the producer of the film and Sevillian Antonio Pérez.
During the filming of the film, Antonio Pagudo and Luna Fulgencio, protagonists of the feature film, visited the Real Betis facilities and recorded a spot in which they announce the union between Héroes de Barrio and Forever Green.
Real Betis’ environmental sustainability platform, which already has several awards worldwide and more than 60 entities, adds its second ally from the world of cinema, as the Seville European Film Festival is also part of Forever Green.
