English Connection Academies Join Forever Green with Joint Recycling Campaign at Their Centers
The Real Betis Balompié Foundation, through Forever Green – the sustainability platform that harnesses the power of sport to protect the planet – has signed a collaboration agreement with the English Connection academies to promote social awareness actions in sustainability, specifically in recycling projects.
The first of these actions is the English Connection Race, a campaign to collect electrical and electronic equipment in all the centers that the academy has spread throughout Andalusia and Extremadura.
The campaign will be possible thanks to the collaboration of AECONOVA Recycling, a company specialising in waste management and recycling, which will be responsible for installing the containers, collecting the waste and advising on the campaign in the English Connection academies.
The English Connection Race will take place between the months of April and June, a period in which students, teachers and all those who wish to collaborate will be able to deposit the different waste electrical and electronic equipment that AECONOVA Recycling will install in each of the academies that collaborate in the initiative.

With the English Connection Race we educate young people in community, promoting sustainability and the circular economy,” says Rafael Muela, manager of the Real Betis Balompié Foundation.

The aim of the action is to raise awareness of everything related to the recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
In this way, aspects such as what WEEE is, where this waste should be deposited, how its proper recycling is carried out, what is the potential negative impact on the environment that it can cause if it is not managed correctly and how much savings in carbon footprint it entails, will be discovered in a participatory way.
