The Sustainability is Responsibility congress wants to promote sustainable practices in the tourism industry

The city of Valencia will host the annual sustainability summit, Sustainability is Responsibility (SIR), in 2025. This important conference, organized by the association of American tour operators USTOA, aims to promote sustainable practices in the tourism industry.

The ‘president’ of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, made this announcement on Tuesday, highlighting the relevance of this event for the Valencian community and its commitment to sustainability.

For the head of the Consell, the choice of the Valencian Community as the venue for the SIR Summit in 2025 is “an exceptional opportunity to show and advance our commitments to sustainability and responsible tourism.” Furthermore, he stressed that this event “not only enhances the international visibility of the Community, but is also a platform to demonstrate our innovative initiatives and sustainable practices in tourism.”

This summit is organized by the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA), the “most powerful” association of American tour operators, “a market with many possibilities of increasing in our destination,” said the ‘president’.
