The event, which gathers the big stars of this sport in Seville this week, joins Real Betis’ environmental program to jointly develop sustainability actions.
Premier Padel Seville joins Forever Green, the sustainability platform of Real Betis Balompié. Through this partnership, both entities will jointly develop sustainability actions and involve paddle fans in the fight against climate change. The environmental platform and this international tournament will promote recycling by reusing the balls used during the competition, which will serve as training tools for the first team goalkeepers of the green-and-white club.
Premier Padel Seville will deliver to Forever Green all the balls used during the tournament. Templo Cafés renews its commitment this season with Real Betis Balompié and will continue to be part of Forever Green to jointly develop sustainability actions and involve more people in the fight against climate change. The Billie Jean King Cup, historically known as the Federation Cup, and Real Betis, through its sustainability platform Forever Green, have signed an agreement for the green-and-white club to collaborate in promoting the main competition of women’s team tennis by national teams, which will take place at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville between November 7 and 12. Meanwhile, the Billie Jean King Cup, which will promote sustainable actions throughout the tournament, will also give visibility to the Forever Green platform during the matches, a vehicle through which Real Betis promotes environmental care.
This collaboration agreement adds to other partnerships previously signed with other major tournaments and competitions to promote sustainable actions such as the Copa del Rey football final, the Copa del Rey basketball final, and the ACB Supercup, the National Futsal League, the Professional Women’s Football League (Liga F), the Water Polo LE, or the Spanish Paddle Championship. As part of this renewal, Templo Cafés will be the Official Coffee of Forever Green and both fans and players will continue to enjoy Templo Ecológico Coffee in VIP areas as well as in dressing rooms and the Sports City.
Additionally, the company joins Real Betis Balompié’s Business Club. Many of the environmental sustainability objectives set when this alliance was signed have been achieved in the last three seasons. Among other actions, a forest was created by planting 500 native trees, one tree for each employee of UCC Coffee Spain, contributing not only to the preservation of our natural environment and mitigating global climate change, but also to the creation of a lasting legacy in our community, helping to offset the emission of 83 tons of CO2 from Templo Cafés and to reforest one of the most degraded areas in the Haro region (La Rioja).
A joint reforestation was also carried out in Real Betis’ eco-garden, planting various trees alongside more than 30 Templo Cafés customers, using coffee grounds as part of the fertilizer, benefiting and raising awareness about the environment. Additionally, the company has participated in Forever Green matches during the last two seasons. Templo Cafés’ commitment to sustainability is reflected through its comprehensive action plan, which focuses on three key areas: Product, Planet, and People. In the Product category, the company stands out for offering a variety of products with organic farming certification and Fairtrade seal, thus guaranteeing the quality and ethical sourcing of its products. Regarding Planet preservation, Templo Cafés implements initiatives for water saving and emission reduction, including specific measures to optimize its fleet and minimize its environmental impact. Furthermore, in the People field, the company is committed to providing support and continuous training to its employees, ensuring their well-being and professional development within a responsible work environment committed to sustainable progress.
