At Forever Green, our mission is to use the power of soccer to promote sustainability and address climate change.
We are proud to announce that, together with Real Betis Balompié and U4Impact, we have formed a strategic alliance to reduce the environmental impact of sporting events and promote climate change awareness among the younger generations.
Since its inception four years ago, Forever Green has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the urgency of addressing climate change.
Leveraging the reach and influence of soccer, we have managed to capture the attention and commitment of thousands of fans and companies, promoting more sustainable practices in the industry.
U4Impact, known for connecting university students with companies to solve real challenges, will bring its expertise in project management and its network of young talent.
Together, we will work on implementing sustainable practices that will benefit Real Betis Balompié and can serve as a model for other sports clubs and organizations.
The project will focus on analyzing and improving the management of waste generated during Real Betis Balompié events, especially that accumulated after matches at the stadium.
Sustainable actions will also be integrated into the construction of the club’s new stadium, which aspires to be a benchmark in sustainability.
This effort is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, particularly goal number 12: responsible production and consumption.
Our goal is to protect the environment and ensure that sporting events are more sustainable and planet-friendly.
Blanca Travesí, co-founder of U4Impact, commented, “We are very excited to start this collaboration with Forever Green. We strongly believe that young people have a crucial role to play in protecting our planet, and this initiative is a perfect opportunity for them to demonstrate their talent and commitment to sustainability.”
As of September 2024, interested parties can find more information and apply to participate in this project through the official U4Impact website.
We are looking for profiles mainly in the areas of economics/ADE, engineering and architecture.
In addition, the selected student will have the opportunity to collaborate with Real Betis Balompié’s environmental and waste volunteering program during matches.
At Forever Green, we are excited to see how this collaboration will contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for soccer and the planet.
