The jury has wanted to highlight the creation of a sustainability platform that harnesses the power of sports to protect the planet, as well as having five areas of action where employees, suppliers, and fans are involved with a commitment to sustainable development, resulting in numerous CSR actions, social assistance, and sustainability in many areas of activity.

The presidents of the Provincial Council and the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Seville (CES), Fernando Rodríguez Villalobos and Miguel Rus Palacios, respectively, presented the 9th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards during an event held at the monumental church of San Luis de los Franceses. These awards, held annually, are convened by the CES and Prodetur, with the collaboration of Endesa, to publicly recognize the best initiatives and good practices in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability of companies operating in Seville.

The entities Caja Rural and its Foundation Caja Rural, in the category of ‘Business Trajectory’; Oleand Cooperativa, in the category of ‘Large Company’; and Fabrienvaf (El Milagrito), in the category of ‘SME’, have been the winners in this ninth edition of the Awards, in which the ‘Forever Green’ project of Real Betis Balompié has received the Award for ‘Best CSR Initiative’.

This award was collected by Rafael Gordillo Vázquez, president of the Foundation, and by Ramón Alarcón Rubiales, general manager of the Business Area.

Forever Green

Forever Green Forever Green is a sustainability platform that harnesses the power of sports to protect the planet and be a spokesperson for those companies that want to show the world what they do for the environment. Members of this initiative commit to working towards the zero emissions challenge, undertaking joint actions that promote environmental care, and implementing measures to regenerate natural spaces affected by climate change. Among the projects already carried out are campaigns for recycling electrical and electronic waste, promoting sustainable transportation among employees and fans, creating a specific volunteer corps for Forever Green, cleaning days in natural environments, and participation in events such as the Climathon, or joining The Climate Pledge and the UN initiative ‘Climate Neutral Now’. Important sports entities such as the Spanish National Futsal League and the Mexican basketball first division team Abejas de León have also joined the Forever Green movement.
