Formula 1 and DHL are driving their commitment to sustainability by implementing the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in air transport.
This advance marks a milestone in the 20 years of collaboration between the two entities.
Since March, Grand Prix logistics outside Europe have started using SAF through DHL Global Forwarding’s GoGreen Plus service, achieving a reduction of up to 80% in emissions per flight compared to traditional fuels.
Until the Singapore Grand Prix, approximately 20% of Formula 1 cargo flights on non-European routes have been scheduled to use this service.
