The green-and-white entity and the sustainable micromobility company sign a collaboration agreement for Club employees to come to the office on electric scooters
Real Betis Balompié is once again taking another step towards becoming the most sustainable football club on the planet.
Through the Forever Green platform, the green-and-white entity has signed a collaboration agreement with Lime, a multinational electric scooter company and a leading company in urban micromobility, to promote the sustainable mobility of Real Betis workers.
Thanks to this agreement, Real Betis Balompié employees will enjoy a fleet of Lime electric scooters free of charge during this season to help achieve the goal of zero emissions, in line with the climate neutrality objectives of the European Commission and the Government of Spain.
In addition, an area will be set up for the charging of scooters in the parking lot of the Benito Villamarín Stadium and another in the Luis del Sol Sports City.
The use of this sustainable means of transport is always proposed as an alternative to healthy forms of mobility such as cycling or walking.
In addition, the entity’s employees will be provided with information on the traffic regulations for personal mobility vehicles in force in Seville, in order to comply with all safety regulations.
With this initiative, framed within the Forever Green project, Real Betis Balompié once again shows that “it is more than a Club, it is a way of feeling and living and therefore it is a responsibility to take care of our planet if we want to continue enjoying our Betis”, says Rafael Muela, manager of the Real Betis Foundation.
For Alvaro Salvat, general manager of Lime in Iberia, “it is very important to promote collaboration between entities that share the objective of caring for the planet and fighting climate change, because there is strength in numbers”.
This agreement was presented on the pitch at the Benito Villamarín Stadium in an event attended by Arnau Pérez Valero, Director of Institutional Relations and Roberto Cerero, Director of Operations of Lime.
